November 13, 2005Thanks to all the attendees and vendors who made this years Annual Conference a success, and to the officers and those behind the scenes who worked so hard on setup and tear down. Also, Cory Spengler deserves a big thanks for her work in the kitchen and making things run smoothly there. The comments submitted by attendees showed most felt it was one of the best conferences yet, with good information for all. The Minutes from October have been put online, you can find them on that page. October 31, 2005The final agenda for the CBPA 2005 Annual Conference, you can view it on the Conference Page. October 22, 2005Time is getting short to sign up for the CBPA 2005 Annual Conference, to be held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, so head on over to the Conference page for more information and the sign-up form. For those in the water and wastewater industries, there are Training Units (TU's) for attendance. Also, thanks to Charlotte, Byron and the other officers for their work on the CBPA Winterization guides for the RP and PVB. They are now permanently linked in the left navigation bar. If any water districts would like their city name inserted into the guide in the spot for that, please contact us for a modified version. This is a nice 3 fold pamphlet that water districts can give to their customers. October 11, 2005The meeting for Wednesday, 10-12-05, will be held at the Marston Treatment Plant at 9:00 am. Check the Meetings Page for a link to a map. On another note, what a way to start a Monday, first snow of the year and the trees really took a beating again, similar to an early snow we had 2 or 3 years ago. In other news, Sandy Lawson had to resign his position as secretary due to an accident, we all would like to wish Sandy a speedy recovery. The Newsletters & Minutes page has some additions, and you can view the draft July minutes here. April 17, 2005It was a good meeting last week in Greeley, and thanks to Doris Biehl and Christine for organizing and hosting the meeting. There was a good turnout with close to 40 in attendance. Tara has a pretty good schedule setup for the rest of the meetings this year, and you can check it out on the Meetings Page. Finally, the CBPA Officers are asking for your input on topics of interest for the CBPA Annual Conference in November. Now is the time to give that input either via email, or by this forum setup on the BPECC for this issue. July 5, 2005The location of the July meeting has been changed to Backflow Consulting Testing & Repair. The Meetings page has been updated to reflect that and includes a map. April 7, 2005CBPA has partnered with the U-Turn Youth Ministries youth group from the Grace Church in Thornton to clean up the greenbelt/trail/waterway that runs between Grant St. and Washington on the south side of 102nd Avenue. The City of Thornton will kick off the clean-up day on April 23rd at 8:00 a.m. at the Margaret W. Carpenter Recreation Center at 11151 Colorado Boulevard. After the City's kick-off, we will go to our assigned area to begin the clean up. The City will provide trash bags for our use.
